Time flies – times change: in the lecture theatre, time has stood still. No other room embodies the spirit of the Theodor Kocher era as authentically as this one, lovingly crafted with woodwork and ornamental paintings, where the ticking of the wall clock and a human skeleton serve as a reminder of transience, but also of medicine’s methods for combating it!
