Description

Like petrified tree stumps, the pillars of the motorway bridge now stand as uninvited props on the asphalted thoroughfare. They are disguised as columns: at the bottom, the exposed foundations, stepped out to form seating, serve as column bases; at the top, the lighting collars wrapped around the pillars act as capitals. At night, the piers glow as luminous bodies beneath the rope-tensioned canopy of lights.
