The site is located in the centre of the northern motorway junction of Bern and directly on the railway lines in all directions of Switzerland. In terms of urban planning, it forms the prelude to the WankdorfCity mixed neighbourhood, but at the same time remains an independent element in the urban fabric as an island.
In analogy to an ideally flowing body, a building complex was developed in the basic shape of a regular triangle of arches. At the centre of the service building is an atrium in which the entire circulation system is located. The timber building structure allows for units of different sizes with neutral access. At the very top, a spacious, partly covered terrace invites you to enjoy the distant view of the city of Bern and the Alps.
Thanks to extensive photovoltaic systems on the roof and in the façade, the building will not consume more energy than it produces.
