Carlo Galli
a property worthy of protection listed in the Bern Cantonal Heritage Inventory
The building represents a further development of the type of residential house designed by Carlo Galli in the 1960s. It does indeed share many of his hallmarks, such as the combination of exposed brick and concrete, the layered facades, and the entrance area on the lower ground floor. The new element here is the zigzag-shaped façade, which gives the building a strong sculptural effect. For Galli, the façade design determines the entire floor plan of the building. This has resulted in exciting apartments with diagonal walls.
During the tour, visitors can view a 3.5-room flat that has been largely preserved in its original condition.
