The existing school is characterised by a composition of outdoor space and space-forming buildings. The new building fits into this framework and completes it to form a new whole. The versatile floor plan offers good conditions for Classic Modernism pedagogical concepts. On the ground floor, day structures and a library create a public offer for the neighbourhood. The classrooms on the upper floor are arranged under the striking roofscape. Four classes form a cluster that is used as a learning landscape and is given a specific atmosphere by the skylight. The double staircase in the centre creates a spatially striking connection. Internal glazing allows views and room extensions. The building envelope is based on the proportions of the pavilion buildings. The tectonics are structured from a mixture of prefabricated and cast-in-place elements. The escape balconies stagger the façades and lend them a varied play of shadows.
