Description
Two buildings face each other, complementing the existing neighbourhood layout and forming a new courtyard. The two buildings offer a wide variety of rental flats, with a focus on family homes in an urban setting.
The new buildings, comprising a total of 56 flats and 8 studios on the site of the former model carpentry workshop of the Wifag machine factory, incorporate elements from the neighbourhood and reinterpret them. Existing architectural features such as building plinths, cornices, balconies and loggias characterise the appearance. The new courtyard is the heart of the development. The orientation of the flats and balconies towards the courtyard contributes to its vitality, enhancing the courtyard’s appeal and creating a lively and homely atmosphere.
