The administration building was extensively refurbished and minimally extended. In addition to improving the energy efficiency of the building envelope, the entrance situation was clarified and the office floors were converted into open and flexible work zones. The listed building from the 1960s was also given a car-free forecourt.

The town hall was modernised and moderately extended to meet contemporary organisational and spatial requirements. The targeted opening up of the internal building structures generated additional office space, creating more flexible workplace zones, visual references and opportunities for dialogue. By breaking up existing room structures, the spacious staircase in the centre of the building could be provided with more daylight.

The building services systems had reached the end of their service life and no longer met the legal requirements in many areas. The building was completely refurbished technically in order to optimise the long-term operation of the office space with the latest standards.

Built at the end of the 1960s, the building is a typical contemporary witness of high architectural quality in the Brutalist style. The original visual character of the building has been preserved and the preservation aspects have been taken into account accordingly.
