Description
In the heart of Bümpliz, at the centre of District 6, a special place is taking shape: the KulturGut, situated on the site of the former Isenschmidgut farmstead. Spanning 1,700 square metres, this is where art, culture and social engagement come together – a vibrant hub for people in the neighbourhood and beyond.
The developed construction project harnesses the high potential of the existing building fabric and, through carefully planned interventions, reveals hidden qualities. The future layout offers a high degree of flexibility and, with a mix of residential and quiet commercial use, is ideally aligned with the usage concept of the B Foundation (see section 8.1). The extent of all interventions was defined after careful consideration of the investment level, future rental income and the added value for users and the neighbourhood. The fact that only minimal expenditure has been invested in maintaining the value of the building complex over the past decades is reflected in the investment costs.
