Description

Bellevuestrasse is a delicate steel structure situated in the heart of a traditional residential neighbourhood. The façade also serves as the building’s supporting structure. A living experience characterised by radical spatial and architectural minimalism at the foot of Bern’s local mountain.

Frank Geiser. 1935–2024

...At just 27 years of age, Frank Geiser set up his own practice in 1962. He brought his design approach with him from Ulm: ‘a model of design based on technology and science. The designer is no longer a superior artist, but an equal partner in the decision-making process of industrial production.’... ...Frank Geiser passed away at the age of 89, convinced that he had pursued the only possible form of architecture.
